if continue to havelock, another $2.50
Woodlands/Yishun to Shenton/Robinson easily hits $40 during morning peak of which $9 is erp. you do the sums, my math very powderful, dun know how to calculate how much lta makes from erp.

Morning PIE exit City toward CTE kenna one ERP another within short distance the same road Kenna another second ERP, than proceed to CTE highway. Why is that so. what is wrong over this double taxation during peak period.

35% of metered fare

surcharge starts exactly at 5pm... so if you take cab at 445pm, then the meter fare from 445pm to 459pm no surcharge... but after 5pm the surcharge start while you in cab..

Would like to ask, how much does it costs on average taking into consideration traffic jam and 30% surcharge from jurong west --> ngee ann poly --> sin ming drive? Timing is around 7pm.
Your help is very much appreciated, thanks in advance everyone.

jur west (assuming jp) to ngee ann then to sin ming 7pm around $28 i estimate

Ngee Ann go Sin ming , another $8 , ERP ?
Slightly aboev $30

Actually , peak hour , a cabby have short or long distance , per hour , they will get $30 -$33

I can travel from Jurong West Ave 1 to Loyang Way via PIE for only $25 lor...

Lower taxi fares on the cardsSMALLER taxi operators want taxi fares lowered amid the deepening economic slowdown that has already seen a number of cabbies giving up driving.
Following last week's news that bus and train operators will lower fares, Mr Lim Chong Boo, managing director of Premier Taxis, suggests lowering the $2.80 flag-down fare during non-peak hours.
Mr Johnny Harjantho, managing director of Smart Taxis, however, reckoned that peak-hour fares - where a 35 per cent surcharge applies - should also be reviewed. Peak hours are from 7am to 9.30am on weekdays and 5pm to 8pm from Mondays to Saturdays.
ComfortDelGro, which has 15,000 of the 24,300 cabs in Singapore, was mum when approached.
The smaller players had other suggestions to lower costs for cabbies, including getting a tax disparity fixed.
Another idea from Mr Neo Nam Heng, head of Prime Taxis, was to allow firms to use secondhand cars as taxis.
