AV and I were GChatting about this the other day - are the news coming out now because these incidents are on an uptrend or is it coz everyone's reporting them ie kept quiet in yesteryears -

mmm... SMRT's bus depot is terrible... even fire engine access gate also kena blocked w/ parked buses.. fire hazard

On a more serious note it's disturbing that employers can make such deductions and withold wages like that in Singapore. Too many documented cases of these abuses and more on TWC2's website.
