i love to hear the song echo through the whole estate every nite at 7pm zhun! -
it's a drama which many were turned off by due to its slow pace and long-windedness, and today it has become the most popular drama in singapore ever.
Btw, anyone noticed that many of their scenes and happenings take place on sofas? haha even the election, there wasnt any street marches or protests whatsoever. No election rallies; just a lof of talk on the sofa.
Anyway, my guess now is ming ming will take the ring and claim to be that guy's daughter. Her evilness will go on and on....muahahaha and then miraculously, she gets to recover her porcelain complexion once again.

I think it is mostly due to the fact that it is a hokkien produced drama and most Singaporeans are hokkiens.
But hokkien is suppressed in local media, so it is a novelty for local chinese hokkiens to watch this taiwan hokkien drama.
The local movie 881 also featured a lot of hokkien songs and thus the popularity with locals.
