Let's not talk about the space...but imagine all feeder/intra-towns/townlinks having full fleet SD....are you going to deploy buses at 5-7 mins? Do you have the manpower?
And if you are deploying DD, are the elderlies/lazy people/"2-stops only passengers" going to go up to the upper deck? Apparently, I took svc like 285/14/147/166, either at Clementi or at Buona Vista towards Clementi Stn, the upper deck are mostly empty...while the lower deck would be packed.
Dont really agree on 147.. Everybody is snatching the upper deck seats .

147 ... should have been full fleet DD.
all of these svc terminates at Clementi. wrong stop to look out for these services.

I dont agree with you. 14/147/166 upper deck when bus has 60+ pax is always full... 285 also Pandan people board bus and go to upper deck... Not true!
Even 225G/225W, one of shortest feeder service has 25-30 pax on upper deck.

People...it's "I took svc like 285 (or) 14/147/166, either at Clementi(285) or at Buona Vista towards Clementi Stn"
I've mentioned 14/147/166 at Buona Vista stop because it's only down with a few more stops to reach the terminal. It is ROUGHLY similar to those intra/feeder/town services if you compare the no. of stops.
Although there might be MRT, people still commute by bus from Buona Vista, Dover, to Clementi.
As for 285, I took it a few times from Clementi Int, and it's around 3-4pm. Can say not much people went up during that time, most of them are at lower deck, with standees.
So what I'm trying to say here is that most people would choose to stay at the lower deck if they are alighting soon. Unless there's no space in the lower deck, they will move up.

Just to say 285 loading starts only after 5pm.. So obviously u did not see many pax on bus.
