850 should soon become full day trunk given # pax along ring road increasing. It should start from Sembawang though.

971 no need, now with 972 there. 982 loading not that good. People still seem to prefer 190 with frequency and flexibility. Also all Cbd service problem is opposite direction v few pax.
just bring back the old 850 but start from sambwang interchange.

yes, it pass by CBD area and orchard area. almost parrell to mrt line that why removed. but i think it time to bring back old 850 with a bit different skip novina and newton use CTE at AMK ave 1 exit at Cavenagh Road, reason help to reduce mrt crowd. until the new thomson line opened.

Whatever services are introduced should not totally replicate MRT else they will not work. At the end, between time taken by MRT and bus, MRT wins hands down. Hence, important for services to ply inner roads. This explains popularity of both 850E and 951E.
From Sembawang to CBD you have 2 services in parallel 167 and 980 that are good enough. Same from Yishun to CBD you have 851, 857 and all you need is more peak direction DDs here.
850E can be made full day with 10 min frequency w/ high capacity buses to CBD. The problem is during AM the # pax from CBD to Yishun will be very low, and hence I suggest alternate buses come back off-service to Yishun ave 1 and start service from there back to Sembawang. Similarly, PM you can have 850A from Sembawang Interchange to Yishun ave 1, and then goes off-service to CBD.
850E can be renumbered as 850 with the same fare base as 850E. But will have normal fare base within Ring road and Sembawang.
Anybody are willing to Suggests Service 971 to applying from Bukit Panjang - Shenton Way as a Full Day Services?

Actually 951E can take less than an hour to reach either destinations..quite fast (Y) It would be meaningful for LTA/SMRT/SBST to introduce more such svc

Perhaps 951 can be considered after Woodlands gets developed around RP to Waterfront..
Anyway, SMRT can consider introducing 11.3M ADL buses for those routes that faces tight turns etc.
bus so interesting meh ?

I don't think full day service to Shenton way is viable considering opp direction bus comes totally empty. Also you have 972 now!!!

Agreed... Need more am buses to Shenton way for 951E.. But return service in PM still loading is poor.. Have observed not more than 20-25 pax on return journey. Think ppl leaving time different so just prefer MRT.

It really makes me feel as if SMRT have more than enough spare high capacity buses for fleet replacement and that's why no non-BSEP DDs are registered for more than a month.

Sarcasm, right!!!
Originally posted by carbikebus:Nope, not the case bro..In fact they need more DDs..its a matter of spacing before Bulim open. Both Wldep and Wlbp are already at their maximum,Kranji also the same.Ang Mo Kio isnt DD friendly thats why im suggesting them to move.
True...it's still a long time to go before Bulim open, they should have really sent the O405s to scrap much earlier instead.

PM one no choice. Unless they deploy MAN A22 from 5-6:30pm, 10mins frequency.

I think when the new Woodlands bus interchange open(near Waterfront, 2nd bus interchange I believe), 951 should starts from there. Cann served as a "Park svc" to Waterfront

MAN for this route no go. All the seats for evenings trips operated by MAN buses are chopped by ppl at Plaza Singapore bus stops
