3501L, 3502J, 3503G --> sv 972
Onboard 3501L today..and the bus was packed during peak hours.
Noticed that the back bus(MAN) would always arrive shortly after ADL departs...
Some suggestions...
> Add sound buzzer on the upper deck of the bus.
> Add a few more handgrips at the back of the bus(lower deck)
> Paste "NO Standing allowed" stickers on upper deck..
How long is it going to take for SMB5003U-SMB5007J to be registered? Liveries already painted and regos up already...

U ask smrt lah. Buses are ready but still need to train the BCs.
Anyway it seem like Smrt did not buy any extra DD to increase the capacity n it is just for fleet replacement. While any capacity increase are from LTA BSEP program.
SMRT BSEP has a huge role to play with DDs. SMRT services do not need fleet add now. First they need to convert the SD BSEP adds to DD BSEP like they did for SBS services 2, 45, 60, 168.
Hope LTA fund another 50 E500s..and best another 40 A24s for feeders

they do not need fleet add, but they need more higher capacity buses..
so for Sv190, currently have 26 bendies plus 15 SD... so if LTA switch 3 MAN A22 out and replace with 3 E500, will it help?? and if SMRT is going to deploy their own DDs on Sv190 and at the same time, transfer out all the bendies, it is call LPPL.....
what they need to do for sv190, is to replace all the SD with DD, not replacing the Bendies with DD....
same go for Sv969.... so LTA will replace 3 of the BSEP MAN A22 with E500, and SMRT deployE500 to replace the bendies... it wont help at all....

I think SMRT will replace all the bendy buses for 190 with DD buses. service 972 so far so good for SMRT to use on orchard road. don't forget there are new bendy buses coming soon. I think SMRT will use bendy buses for feeder service and those service 67 and 176 where cutting tree become a issues.
i think SMRT DD need to have warning sign on the upper deck for people who like to stand on the upper deck when the bus is full. also has too different stoping bell so that the driver know people going down from upper deck to exit from the bus. also the air-con is too cold for raining day likw man bus there is no cover for the air-con holes.

I agree. You reiterate my point. These DDs have to be used for SD --> DD conversion rather than fleet add or bendy --> DD.

Don't forget there are many bendies that will go out of registration soon. The order of new bendies is only 40. This is too little to supplement any incremental bendies.
that why replace the old bendy from 190 with new DD buses for 190. new bendy bus can use for feeder buses.
Maybe 5001 and 5002 will replace the WLDEP O405 on 190.
Today the 3 E500 are on consecutive slots in the evening peak.
N there are a lot of trees /branches that are not trim at fajar road. The dd hits the branches so many times along fajar road

Yes 966 bunching is so common. You can spot within 5 minutes 3 buses. What the hell - for a trunk service? And you see the last 2 are empty. Clearly it is poor planning and this has been going on for a long time now. Hopefully DDs can mitigate this situation by reducing # of buses, but adding more high capacity buses.
SMRT should change their 963 bus service buses all to ENVIRO 500. Tourist may take 963 because they might come from sea and shan't we give them a good impression?
By the way, I saw a ENVIRO 500 in bus service 972.

First of all, thanks for truly enlighting me you're new, Sherlock.
Secondly, yes there are already perm DDs on 972.
Lastly, 963 would be among the last services in Harbourfront to get the buses if based on your reason. 963 serves nearly zero tourist attraction after Harbourfront, and very little tourists actually take 963 because of the area it serves. And I don't think that changing to all DDs would be jusifiable becoz its load does not warrant full fleet DDs.

Welcome. Yes, 963 should get DDs, more to meet loading concerns of people along the route... and providing more seats/comfort to passengers.
