JB-regged MK IV DM3500 to replace MK III on 170/160?

  There is a Volvo DM3500 perm in 123 - SBS2827U aka the only non WAB perm bus in 123 fleet. Although the slot gets cameoed by some other striders or DM3500s very often.

  SBS2827U kena accident on monday, 21 March with an WL 961 at Jln Bukit Merah. looks quite jialat. So i guess SBS2827U is out for now

  Maybe they will install the 3rd brake light as well during the repairs.

  I do have a feeling that they will gradually deregister the JB-registered MK-IIIs and gradually put in the newly registered MK-IV DM3500s. The earliest the MK-IIIs will go off is in November so slowly i think they will get all the necessary MK-IV buses registered.

  I think they will change to  MK-IV DM3500s once they are able to run cross boarder services. JB-registered MK-IIIs still can run for a while for Singapore services till end of their lifespan.

  Just like the MK2s last time.

  Saw that Strider on 160411 along Geylang, thought I saw wrongly, thanks for clearing my doubt. Wondering why suddenly a Strider would install with 3rd brake light.

  . Maybe they intend to have Strider as spare buses, whereas DM3500 as perm? Or 160 use Strider and 170 use DM3500? We'll soon get the answer.

  It's really surprising that Striders get the 3rd brake lights. Probably all Striders and DM3500s in ARBP will get to serve cross boarder services.

  If all Striders and DM3500s go serve cross border services, be prepared to see more KUBs on the other services lol.
