Originally posted by Superbus:Yes. Stage bus operations into JB such as those operated by SBS Transit, SMRTB, Advance Coach and Transtar's Cross Border must first be granted with 'Stage Bus' or 'Bas Berhenti-Henti' permits issued by LPKP. SJE buses are given the 'Bas Ekspres' permits.
Other buses that operates into Malaysia are considered 'Excursion Buses' or 'Bas Persiaran'. These includes the Singapore-registered 'express coaches' operated by Transtar Travel, Five Stars Tours, 707 Travel Group etc.
There are also a select few PH regged buses which were given Bas Pekerja pemits.

I got this wierd idea why not 170 extended to Sims Place and make it partial BB/HG?Ban San can let those CW/SJE operate.

Route too long
In the first place, the traffic condition at Causeway is alrdy erratic enough. There's some time belt buses will get held up by Bas Kilang.
Yar hoh,The best is 170 blue..Can jiak peng and smoke at Kranji MRT there.Bas Kilang drivers are mostly ex-gangster/hooligans.They drive like driving a car,Some with modified exhaust system
jiak png is at Woodlands Centre, park the bus at ex Woodlands Int bus bay.
At Bt Batok Depot is literally better than being w/ Hougang
Cos from BBDEP you can use Upp Bt Timah to get to JB fast in the morning or after hours, then to get to Queen St you can use Clementi Ave 6, AYE.

2707H is NOT JB registered aas stated in wiki, no address, no rear sticker, no front license. only the brake light

Apparently, it has been registered with SPAD. SBST may have chosen to register the bus first, then modify the bus later.
Another 29 buses have received the "Bas Berhenti-Henti" permits from LPKP.

Expect service 170 to get a fleet revamp soon
I'm more interested to see Strider to be as SP or Perm. :)
Cheers.
