new to the game......really sucky......can give me some tips on how to drive properly?keep banging into the walls......real terrible

get the feel of ur car 1st. then try and get the correct racing line. always better to go slower rather than hit the wall, which may cost u dearly.

noramlly how do you all time your turns ar?coz i cant seem to time them well......waht is liine??

line--- out-in-out thru a corner...before a corner go to the ouside, then cut into the inner apex of the corner...come out on the outside..this is the shortest line through a turn, which, if done for every turn, shortens your time on the whole course. for most turns, dont turn too early or too late..obviously. this comes only with practise and knowledge of how to take each and every turn...you only get the feel for it after you have played a long time..

if its at where i frequent ... maybe i could show you or at least explain in person ?? -
any1 who wanna find me, there is high chance of finding me in clementi in the evening and night during saturdays and sundays. just look for a sleepy person driving a tofu car.

i plae at clemeti....but onli on sat afternoons...do u all let go of the gas pedle when u turn or brake and turn?

adoi.... like that very hard to explain ler... coz there is no "standard formula" for turning. some need to brake, some need to let go gas, some can just full throttle. u only gain this info thru experience. or u can watch other ppl play. i learnt a lot from watching my brother play, and other ppl playing at clementi as well.

i think he means stepping on the brake together with the accelerator...never do that...

Courses like Akina requires braking b4 entering into corners. For tsuchizaka, i dun really brake at all , throughout whole course.
Depends on the course u playing, maybe u would want to change the stiffness of steering wheel to 2 or 3 1st.. -

I think also need to depend on cars also. But still it's a pretty dangerous thing to do. Since you're also stepping on gas, you'll tend to step on the brake harder since you're not slowing down as fast. I encountered this before when I first played ID. Gas (forgot to let go
) and brake for the Myogi turn. I just went straight into the mountain even though I fully turn the wheel. Car didn't even turn much. -

em..i use 2 cars.
1) RX-7 type-R [FD-3S] type A
and a
2) Impreza WRX [GC8v]
Iam still on ver.2 cos JB is still on that version
Lucky yew guys! all get to play Ver.3 !
anyways,are the controls in ver.2 very different from ver.3? -
the steering is heavier in version3. and there is steering kickback for version3. and you cant go as fast as the speed in version2. and the best thing, NO MORE FREAKING GODLY CARS, at least more balanced now.

Well, with practise, pointers and looking at other people play, you can learn alot!
Here's a qoute of advice:
Learn from all drivers, not only from those that are good, but also those really bad ones. Learn from mistakes and make sure you don't make them! 
Good luck! I'm also a newbie, come to think of it, until I'm really stable in ALL courses, I'll still consider myself as a newbie..

i've played the ver.3 at KL
For me
really,the game play is totally different compared to ver.2
the feel of the steering is much different.
cannot wait to go to Sg and see some pros in action
and maybe get some pointers.

which 6 gear car should i get?
