Hi guys, i am new this forums and i hv juz started playing initial d not long ago. Erm...i will be grateful if someone can tell me which car is gd to use in the game. As i know nothing abt cars, so pls pardon me as i would like to noe more abt cars. Btw if i am using Evo4 n i wan to complete the course in stage3 n stage 4, is there any tips tat could be given?
Oh...and is the S2000 gd to use? as i hv been using S2000 when i first play the game n i had a hard time to tackle it and i am still stuck in stage 3. pls give some advise thx. -
welcome... hmm.. i have a S2000.. nice car... but doesn't turn the way u wan it to turn like FDs and DC2s..
evo4 isn't that bad either... the two RX-7s are good cars too... so does the Integra DC2..

Wise choice u have. The Evo 4 is a good car to start with. In initial D its advise to run the time attack before u attempt any story mode challanges etc unless u are really a pro n confident that u wont lose u dun need to do tat... Hopes this helps...

Btw when using evo 4 for the sharp turn hor? should i change to gear 4, den step on the break or let the go of the acceralation? -
Erm... actually diff turns got diff requirements... for now i think u can start with releasing the accel pedal for turns... As u go to harder tracks like Akagi n onwards... then u have to learn to reduce ur gear, brake n release pedal abit b4 u turn... it is something u can learn slowly... i would recommend u start with Usui time attack becoz its a track not very difficult to run n yet have 2 small hairpins.. Ok, as for the U-turns, there's a few of methods you can use to negotiate the various u turns. Like those turns in Iroha, you can change down to 3 to negotiate the first few turns while some of them, you can use gear 4 to go through. And if you don't want to brake, you can down gear earlier and use engine brake. Your Speed will drop faster than just releasing the pedal. And for some of the U turns, like in Akina, you can just use gear 4, and release the pedal to gain traction.. -
Is Dc2 really tat gd to use? coz i always see ppl using dc2 n once i was challenge by a expert using dc2 who exp is abt 200k n my 86 truneo (part a) only got abt 22k n he still challenge me. And he let me go first sometime like a handicapped but he catch up wif me easily n juz overtake me.......

Haha... he challenged u... u can choose not to let him challenge wat... u can off it... if u nva on the challenge, there is nothing he can do... he can catchup with u quickly not necessary he is better but only becoz his car already completed its basic tunes n thus definitely can run faster then u... And did u all off the boost when u race with him? like you, i am very new to the game... only started playing with an 86 just 3 weeks ago.
for me, i prefer to challenge the com straight cos i can watch the way the com turns. (really helps... esp the point to brake.)
i also get those type of ppl challenging me. they will be watching and will ask me for a race, saying that they are as lousy as me etc.
i agree and their cars turn out to have over 300k pts. some even use bugged cars against me.
but i can't complain too... i was too naive to believe them! hahah. -

Actually points dun really matter much...even if have 300k points it doesn't matters...as long as u have the skill u can beat them so dun worry. Regarding the bugged cars...its doeas really matters...Its really just a matter of "skill" -
well i guess i am not alone to be bullied by those ppl.....haha at least still got ppl like me being bullied.
I think skills is really the most important things for car racing as i have seen some ppl can hv 300k n above n driving DC2 but was defeated by someone who is driving an DC2 with only 80k. But then hor....y so many ppl use DC2......i see till i headache ar!!!! hehe -
i agree that there are many many dc2... in the beginning stage do switch off the challenge mode and train against computer first. it would better if you were able to complete story mode one round first as you would get a feeling of playing on most the courses. some of the com players are actually quite strong!

Actually the very simple reason y so many ppl using DC2 is clear.... it is a very good car in this game... most powerful in Iro n Happo n almost above average in other tracks... Thats why alot ppl use it... Another reason is becoz there are alot DC2s who are quite good... There are actually some good drivers in other cars like Fds n so on... When they challenge DC2s or vice versa, they usually will lose to DC2 in the last 2 maps... This is very frustrating for those ppl... thus they end up changing to use DC2 coz they are fed up with losing to DC2s not becoz of their skill but becoz their car is not optimum at the last 2 maps... thus there are more n more DC2s nowadays... Nothing much to do also... its their own choice... but im sure there are also alot of other car drivers who can beat DC2s once they master the way their cars work...

hahaha ok well tat time i accidentally on my challenge mode n i didnt realised it but now i noe how to switch off liao. I think i gonna train my S2000 again liao but normally my gear can go up to 4 at the stage 3 or 4 leh.....any S2000 expert can guide me frm not banging the corners n wat gear should i remain in stage 3 or 4?

some how i feel ae86 is not popular which is strange..cos the drifting of 86 is jus awesome!or must i wait till i get that goggle engine b4 the car is ready ?

hahaha... my S2000 is quite gd lar.. 9 stars liao.... battle lvl is 6.. It;s stable lar... dun EVEN THINK of getting a DC2.... This car is very fast... in real life it beat the hell out of a integra type-R on a race track...
