Is gold rim good?

Yesterday nite, i changed to the gold colour rim wheels for my DC2. After competing with bunta at level 23 akagi, i realised that my wheels are similiar to that for bunta WRX. The traction is very good as it can grip the ground very well. However, i feel that the wheels are rather 'heavy' as i find the steering wheel harder to steer as compared to the wheels which i had before. ANy comments?

I got this question bugging me a long time already. Does some cars really need the GOLD Rim to have best performance ?
i drive a trueno (part c ) and alot of ppl say that trueno the wheels should be black also not very sure just need some comments -
my wheels black lehz... i dun feel ani difference in the wheels lehz... i using dc2 !!!

Hey Ryousuke_FC3S, the bronze rims that you are referring to is actually the wheel for tune D. That rims is good for high speed cornering in dry weather only. yea.. I gt it from the optional upgrade.. Its good in dry days and realli good for high speed drifts in akagi but not suitable for Iro or hapo...

Hehehe...that bronze rims is suitable for all the 6 courses in the game. Except the condition that they must all be used in dry weather. The rims is very good in cornering, so for Iro and hapo courses it is pretty easy to go around the hairpins. Ai.... no such wheel.... but the bronze wheel is the best of all.... But one wheel which is good in rainy days is the white wheel by REM. i tried tat and it really rocks in rainy days.... If you use the bronze rims in wet weather, the car will be very difficult to flow the ideal cornering line during drifting. Like what Ryousuke_FC3S has mentioned, it will go out of control.
The overall good wheels for FD is definitely the wheels for Tune A, the black wheel with the silver cone in the centre. Its handling in wet weather is no difference with dry weather. With the exception that it doesn't accelerate as fast as it is in dry weather. But you will be able to drive your FD the same way as in dry weather. Its cornering ability is only average, but you just need to brake early and turn early into a corner to obtain the ideal corner line that you desire.
Cornering speed is a little bit lower compared to the bronze rims, about 3-5km/h lower.

Actually the gold rims mentioned inthe topic subject is referring to the rims in DC2 and not FD. But I just follow up on what Ryousuke_FC3S has posted regarding his rims.
Yes, the bronze rims that I refers to is the Mazdaspeed one...anyway, check out the tune D of FD...that is the wheels.
Yes, the wheel that I mentioned is indeed the original wheel for tune A. Actually it is just my opinion, I used all the wheels from the FD and I am using one myself. But I use more on three types, the wheels from tune B, D and A. The wheels that Ryousuke_FC3S mentioned is from tune C...which I don't have much impression of it cos I didn't use it for long.
By the way, it is always good to part change to experience the difference in each part to improve your driving experience.
Maybe I say like this wheel or part is good, and it suits me...but not necessary suits you. Like Ryousuke_FC3S has said, he is getting used to his bronze rims to handle it properly on wet and dry weather. This is good cos you realised and appreciated the difference that the part improve your overall driving experience.
Winning is not everything, if I want to plain win, I would have chosen a better car. I like FD and I want to enjoy driving it in the arcade.
I of course would like to drive with FD type R drivers when I come back and that will be so cool. Hehehehe.... -
ic... thanks! I tink I will stick to the original tune A wheels, cus todae when I vs the cuppo in USI wet, it over took mi in the last check pt.. i stick to him an luckily overtook him again at the c121, tink the tyres nt bad, will stick to tat... thankz for yur help!

nvm la.dc2 so many ppl using. 5 out of 10 ppl playing ID uses a DC2 as their main car. while FD, quite hard to find...

Hi, how about the wheel upgrades for trueno 86? Anyone can give me an opinion? It seems that less ppl drive that car nowadays... I drive it cos i really like Takumi in the anime.

I must sae that 86 is the hardest car to control in initial D(for me ar). Starting part of 86, i can manage the car but after the 12k tachometer is added, i very impatient to wait for the needle to go to 11k den change..... very mafan although this can make the car go real FAST....

btw.anyone can give mi some tips for FD at iro when turning hairpins. I rarely can complete a full turn wihout banging at the outer.I usually let go acceleratin all the way when i turn, anyone can give me some suggestions? -
Use faint drifting in the turns after the 1st turn after the 1st check point until the turn where u can jump... And sometimes shift down ur gear in order to make a fast acceleration after turning... FD's true aspect is its acceleration.... So try not to make FD bang the wall... perhaps tapping the brake when turning could help...
Faint Drift - This is done by rocking the car towards the outside of a
turn and then using the rebound of grip to throw the car into the normal cornering direction. (Like in Initial D when Truneo first race against FD and this is heavy rally racing technique used to change vehicle attitudes during cornering, mainly tight mountain corners).
