Does the stars on the card helps the car's performance?

Hello people, just wondering if the stars on our card contribute anything to our car's performance?
I personally have only 13 stars and I haven't play bunta's challenge yet. I figured that I have no problem in gaining another 10 stars for bunta's challenge, but just want to confirm before investing a huge amount of money into bunta's challenge.
Please advise. Thanks.

hahaz... i dunno lehz... got such thing 1z mehz ?? but onli bunta den nice 2 play wif lehz... the rest not nice 1z... the story mode of com not as challenging as bunta !!!

hahaha...you dunno but still want to reply. You are so funny.
Anyway, the more times u complete the story mode, the more difficult is the computer player.
Anyway, if you do happen to complete the story mode 3 times already, you will find the bunta in story mode challenging.
Of course, if you are driving a DC2 or GC8V...then of course you will not.
By the way, bunta from level 1 to 10 is easy. Not sure if you can challenge bunta on uphill course. If you enjoy too much on downhill course with bunta, you might get trash by somebody who doesn't play bunta challenge but can still trash you easily on uphill course.
So don't enjoy too much...and I do like to challenge people on uphill course and reverse course.

You say bunta above 20 stars very challenging...care to tell me the minimum timing require to win him in his wrx on akina?
If he can do under 3mins on akina, then i will definitely play akina until i cannot win him anymore. 1 star awarded for each win on 4 course...so 10 star I will need to play 40 times....which is quite expensive. So just wondering is it really worth that money to play with him to get the stars. If the stars is only for show, then I prefer not to put too much money into bunta challenge. IF the stars really do make your car go faster, I dun mind to invest some money in it if it really can make my car accelerate faster. -
nope... the only three factors that can help ur car performace is...(1) ur gearing skill (2) The amount of p[oints u have earned (3) the type of car mod u have done.
(1) If u gear u car wrongly defintely ur cars performance will be underperforming. this however does not affect auto players..(like me)
(2)More points u have the more powerfull it becomes....same reason why ppl want bug car can faster finish full modding of car...both external mods(wings..tyres...etc..) and internal mod(ecu reset....) it will finish at 990 000 points after that that is the "full' tunes car and defintely will be more mpower full that a 100 000 points acr..
(3)not only does that tuen of ur car matters sometimes...with enuff exp with different parts....(bigger or smaller muffler...diferent wheels...different wing..) all play a small part as to the performance of ur car..
anywa star on the car do not mean anything...like me i have finish the game twice beat bunta on all maps till 10 stars at least...i have already 18 stars on my card..it does not mean anything at all. -
