  Below are some secret moves and tips which you can make use of during the game. They are not indicated in the game and you have to explore it yourself. I'm showing it to you right now!
  
  Link Battle without Speed Boost
  During link battles the car behind the leader is normally given a speed boost. To play the game without speed boost, please follow the following steps to turn the speed boost off.
  After choosing the Link Battle and before the race starts, each player must step on their brake pedal (step on and hold down the brake pedal before and after the Illustration Screen is displayed) to turn off speed boost. This mode is for players who want to compete on equal conditions.
  
  Changing the BGM
  You can change the in-game BGM before playing! Press the View Change Button while you are choosing your rival. there are 11 songs to choose from.
  
  
  Changing Time Display Mode when racing on Time Attack mode.
  During Time Attack mode, the different times are displayed in the upper right hand part of the screen. Press the Start Button to switch between all times and your best times.
  
  Changing the Rankings Display
  This screen shows all the rankings of all cars when no one is playing on the machine. Press the View Change Button during the Advertising Demo Screen to display rankings.
  When rankings are displayed,
  Press the View Change Button to change courses.
  Use the Gear Knob to change cars.
  Depress the accelerator to toggle tuning on/off.
  
  Down shifting with automatic transmission (AT).
  An automatic transmission (AT) will automatically down shift for you when you lose speed. However, in order to race faster on the arcade stage courses, it has been made possible to down shift whenever you like. (Push the gear knob forward to down shift)
  
  Turning the headlights on/off while racing.
  Headlights can only be used when racing at night. Hold the Start Button for at least 2 seconds to turn the headlights on or off. This way you can experience the Takumi Blind Attack! Your opponents won't be able to see you clearly in their rear view mirror.
