hey fellow singaporeans... erm.. i was wondering how much have u guys spent so far on initial d arcade... surely lotsa $$$ ritez?? so how much u think u spent on it?? i curious la.. haha

GUess i have spent really lots of money on initial d! I have 5 used cars which i spent 1.50 SGD per game. That amounts to 375 SGD.

Well... my spent about nearly 800 buck for my AE86. since ver1 till now... spent only about 50 buck on ver1, so can say the rest on ver2... testing option parts, play with buntai, practice drifting without ramming the wall, etc.

I have a tune A DC2 and a Tune C Altezza. Both with approx 1.2 M points.
I am dead broke. You go figure how much i have spent. better off taking up golf or some other hobby.

Oh, a question to ask you ID players... what do you guys think about keeping points and all that on a card? Soul Calibur 2 also has this... what's the point?
BTW, going to buy SC2 for my PS2 instead of blowing it all in the arcades -

There really is no point in keeping so many points on the card except for the 990,000 needed for the tune ups. It's just that when we race with the game or other human drivers, we get points as a reward. The fun is actually in the driving. It's not as simple as it seems to just take a turn at a high speed. I've seen an 'uncle' (I think he's about 45) take the turn at Myogi at 200KPH with an EVO. I didn't think it was possible with the EVO but he proved it otherwise. The card also serves to record your car's customization.
Unless you are rich enough to go drive a real car on a race track, this is the best we can have. Until they manage to invent a more realistic game, ID is still at the top.
Oh yeah, spent about $400 so far on the Subaru Impreza WRX Type R. -
I guess.. but one guy blew $800! I don't think I've ever spent that much in the arcades in my lifetime!
As for sim-driving games, the closest I've seen is actually a very old game, Stunts, in the arcade. It had a stick shift, clutch, cable-force feedback steering and all that..
