In fact, Xiaohan has wrote better lyrics than dou shi ta...most memorable would be Mavis Hee's Ni Chou De Yan...i like the lyrics Xiaohan writes...becoz it proves that we singaporeans have got wat it takes.
Xiaohan, i was looking to get an opinion from u on wat i write...do u want me to post it here...(but the fear of plaigarism...or watever) or do u want me to email u...i juz email u a copy anyway so u can look at it and give me ur opinions.
Eric ah, Xiaohan's lyrics aren't too complicated yet...if u ever read Lin Xi's...his lyrics is many-layered...but some might find it a little turn off lar. -

But lyrics is a very subjective thing, so we may not agree. One thing tho, it will have to Gan Dong yourself, before it can EVER gan dong anyone else. The effort comes from yourself and you will not be able to improve wif help from others if you dun see the light. Anyway, writing is fun. So carry on wif it!
Hey and btw, Eric is the really power one. Go check up his works. Also for Yiqi and Chen Da Wei, big names like Jacky, A-mei and best-sellers like Fish Leong, Rene Liu all use their works okay. I am the small fry here. Just trying to have a little share of the music cake made in taiwan. haha.
and by the way, the little winter eric is refering to is me. Xiao Han stands for the season in the beginning of winter.

juz looking at those i posted in this forum...i dun aim to gan dong all the time...especially in zheng jiu shi jian...and ying zi...wat do u tink? Juz on is there? Do we end up telling stories those 4...
Usually a lot of people tok abt writing good melodies...but wat besides gan dong wat else using lyrics or wat?
Where do u get ideas/inspiration from? Looking at people or alwiz surveying people around? -

Actually I just heard Yiqi, Xiaohan n (Uncle) Eric on 933 the other day and I really like that program on local music.
So I got a pleasant surprise when I saw Mr Huang and Xiaohan's name here.
Xiaohan, I like your lyrics in Ni Chou De Yan and Lian Lian Bu She. They are very touching. I also like Eric's Zi Fei Ji very much and he is really funny on air. I also heard from Sandy Lam (on radio lah)fell in love with ICQ because of Eric. Looking to hearing all your new songs soon! -

really meh? so many singaporeans 'support' by downloading their fellow citizens hard work, and that's why it's so hard for fresh ppl to get in...it's a sad fact...u see in america....napster came out and the whole world pounced on them...and even though there are still downloadable websites...but Nsync or whoever big acts like U2 are still doin well like never b4 coz after all, there are still ppl there who will respect intellectual property and purchase it for their consumption...but in asia...well ...downhill all the way...tis is the truth...i'm the truth teller..haha

halo~ hmm.. here's how i feel, imho.

it's a very good attempt at writing, however
the overall feeling hor, is that... for some parts can feel that u r trying quite hard to make them sound "abstract". sometimes, in some cases, abit straighter will be able to touch ppl more..
for first one,
the chorus1 that "yuan xing bi lu" put there abit qi guai.. cuz the rest of the lyrics all rhymes except that. and the overall rite, got abit the dun flow too smooth feeling.. and the "moral of the story" is abit hard to get. and erm.. 3 bridges?
for second one,
got "lack of something" feeling.. chorus can be improved..
for third one,
i like this best cuz it's more straight forward. but the verse 2 "gou gou xiao zhi" not rhyme again.. =/
for forth one,
i like this oso, but the chorus maybe change abit and longer abit more nicer..

Actually YING ZI and HAO WU BAO LIU are my works from last year...pre-September 11...i tink around april or may 2001. Just took it out recently to do some alteration.
